Six Villages Hyperfast

A community-led project to deliver Gigabit broadband to your neighbourhood

Help us to build our 21st Century broadband network.

How can you help our project by volunteering?

We are now a member project of B4RN. You have previously indicated you would like to volunteer to help our project progress to the next level. Here is an opportunity for you to describe how you think you can help.

How do you wish to help:

Volunteers are needed for four key tasks.

1. Canvassing - before we can construct the network by laying duct, we have to encourage residents to apply for their gigabit vouchers, allowing them to obtain the free connection from the government.

2. Digging - laying duct between residents' property boundaries and their house walls needs community volunteers to lay the duct (buried 300mm beneath the surface). This can earn you shares in B4RN.

3. Install house kits - volunteers will be needed to help with installing the two boxes, one on the outside wall and the other on the inside wall of each property.

4. Teacakes - the canvassers and especially diggers will need sustenance and refreshment in their task - especially when it is raining.
