Six Villages Hyperfast

A community-led project to deliver Gigabit broadband to your neighbourhood

Benefits of Hyperfast (1000Mbps) and B4RN

Why Hyperfast Fibre:

Hyperfast is required for effective multi-use of media platforms including streaming of services such as Prime and Netflix, surfing the web, on-line shopping and banking, all at the same time with no peak slowdown or frustrating buffering delays or timeouts.

Upload and download speeds are the same hence uploading of extensive business files, photos, broadcast videos etc easily facilitated in seconds without interruption.

Domestic and Business premises can benefit from use of smart technology and internet capable devices including security cameras, kitchen appliances, smart heating and lighting fitness trackers. Again a Gigabit connection can accommodate all these devices without degrading the performance.

Healthy bodies and keen minds can be aided by sending data to doctors using the internet avoiding the need for stressful trips for appointments where these can be avoided, and sending medication requests and benefiting from other health services. Equally, distance learning can be much easier accommodated with increasing education institutes, companies and community groups offering on-line courses, and leisure pursuits.

Increasingly services and businesses in the Private and Public sectors are providing their services via use of the internet, and in increasing numbers ONLY via the internet.

Increasingly services and businesses in the Private and Public sectors are providing their services via use of the internet, and in increasing numbers ONLY via the internet.

In summary, for better or worse, our lives are becoming increasingly affected by the need for use of services in the retail, health, entertainment, education and other service sectors, necessitating the need for broadband speeds to accommodate the many opportunities that this brings.

This requires a speedy and reliable broadband network that Hyperfast Fibre can achieve.

Why B4RN:

B4RN is an integrated provider in that its services meet both domestic and business needs for provision of all services ie delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of an effective Broadband Network. There are repair teams locally for quick response in the event of faults.

B4RN ‘s gigabit connection allows you to take advantage if needed of the rise of cloud basedtools and VoiP (Voice over internet Protocol)  which means  no need for telephone line rental.

B4RN’s fibre service is many times faster than most other providers who often impose a bandwidth limit, and charge extra if you use too much bandwidth than that contracted.

Unlike some other providers, B4RN don’t use any overhead copper landlines and all the cabling ducts are buried. The Fibre is protected from water ingress and high winds.

B4RN is a non-profit Community Benefit society, with any operating surplus re-invested in the expanding network. They provide a free service for primary schools and places of worship. Buildings such as village halls which offer to host one of the network cabinets also receive a free service.

B4RN is available to begin work now to establish the network at low cost (taking advantage of government vouchers), whereas other providers have made no such commitment to the five villages community.
